PANAREA SPIRAL STAIRCASE

The Panarea Spiral Staircase is construted around it's distingtive twisted central colum. This provides a beautiful, sculptured quality to this unique staircase model. On the outside of the treads there is a steel band or stinger which brings strength and stability to the model Panarea. The Panarea spiral staircase is suitable for both domestic applications and commercial use. Staircases can be produced in all diameters up to 2400mm

The Panarea spiral staircase can be manufactured selecting from the highest quality materials including, stainless steel, a selection of hard woods, glass and Perspex. Utilising laser cutting and CNC machines in order to obtain the perfect shapes and high quality finish for your design.

Personalisation - The Panarea spiral staircase system is completely bespoke built and offers the opportunity to personalise your staircase both by selection of materials and by choosing one of several balustrade options.

Centre Column - The centre column is laser cut from tube to give a twisted 'barley sugar' effect. The centre column of the Panarea spiral staircase can be produced using stainless steel, powder coated steel or a selection of hardwoods.

The treads of your spiral staircase can be made from engineered Beech and stained to a range of colours (see ID Swatch). Also a selection of hardwoods can be opted for to bring quality and character with natural tones and grain patterns. Also treads can be made of clear or coloured Perspex or Triple laminate glass.

Balustrade is constructed using solid 10 mm stainless steel bar (described as wires) for strength. 7 or 8 wires make up the space between treads and the handrail. Curved glass or Perspex panels can replace the steel wires. Landing balustrade can be supplied to match in all cases.

Handrail - You may elect to have the handrail made of curved, solid wood in a colour to match the treads to provide a dramatic finishing touch or a powder coated mild steel or stainless steel.

The model Panarea can be constructed to allow for building regulations where necessary. This might include riser bars on the back of the treads.  Also additional wires to ensure no gap greater than 10cm and in some cirumstances perspex panel to ensure that the staircase balustrade is not deemed as climbable. Full advice on all aspects of UK building regulations is supplied during the design stage.

Note; The Panarea spiral staircase can be designed and constructed to comply with all UK building regulations and satisfy all british standards categories for both domestic and commercial staircases. The responsibilty for adherance to building regulation lies with the customer and not ID Staircases therefore we strongly recommend that you submit all plans to building control in your area for approval.

Circular Formers can be supplied by ID Staircases to ensure not only a perfectly circlular ceiling opening but with sufficient strength to anchor the staircase securely at the landing level.
